About this Rug

Sabzevar is a town located on the northwestern part of the Iranian province of Khorassan. The pattern and colors used in most Sabzevar rugs are very similar to those of the carpets woven in the holy city of Mashad. A central medallion is traditionally dominant in Sabzevars. Rich burgundy is most often used as the field color with accents of blue and green throughout.
